2009: Drivers Paul van Splunteren & Bas Schothorst, 3rd overall in Dutch GT4 Championship
2010: Drivers Phil Bastiaans & Mathijs Harkema, Championship winner in Dutch GT4 Championship
2011: Drivers Phil Bastiaans & Jan Lammers, several race victories in combined Dutch and European GT4 grid
The car has been maintained at a level appropriate for the highest national level of racing in the Netherlands by a team of
Porsche experts. A new engine was installed halfway the 2010 season and the gearbox will have one race on it since the
last revision done by ProSpeed Competition in Belgium. The car was completely rebuild after the 2010 season with a full
chassis restoration (see pictures). Also noteworthy is the fact that the car was previously road registered and can be
re-registered with ease (local tax regulations apply).
Technical overview of the 997 GT4:
- Based on 997 GT3 Mk 1 roadcar
- Standard engine and H-pattern gearbox (reinforced cables)
- Bolted full clubsport rollcage with added side-impact
(DMSB and FIA approved)
- Safety kit (fire extinguisher, cut-off switch, etc.)
- Suspension modified with Porsche Cup parts
- Front brakes upgraded to Mk2 GT3 380mm discs (steel)
- Improved single-action brake booster
- Moton 4-way adjustable dampers
- BBS 3-piece wheels
- Europipe exhaust
- Plastic rear window
- Small aero mods (front cup spoiler, wheel and rear gurney)
- Ballasted at 1380kg but 1300kg easily obtainable
(if run outside GT4 regulations)
- Standard fueltank
- Airjack system
Car very suitable for all types of GT4 (class) racing, endurance
racing (VLN, 24H Dubai), Porsche Sports Cup, rallying, trackday
driving and much more. Very forgiving car to drive and
relatively easy to maintain with easy access to spares.
